It is not enough to just quit smoking – you might have to walk an extra mile to limit the ingesting of second-hand cigarette smoke from various sources. Did you know that non-smokers everyday are being exposed to the same set of toxic elements by passive inhalation of the “side-stream” smoke emanating from burning cigarettes, and/or from “passive” smoke breathed out by smokers? Latest studies revealed that all (100%) of the women who were known to take in passive smoke in the home also got detected with follicular fluid nicotine in their follicular fluid, although these were less in concentration as compared to regular smokers. There was a recent study that I read which really caught me by surprise: 84% of women claiming themselves as non-smokers and having a non-smoking partner also exhibited the presence detectable levels of this nicotine metabolite in their follicular fluids. These women had acquired this reproductive poison associated with passive inhalation of others’ smoke right from the environment – the dumping ground of all smoke, dust and other aerial pollution.

Statistically, exposure to passive smoke substantially decreased the chances of a woman getting pregnant within as less as 6 months. Not just women trying to conceive – even their partners’ habits are important and need to be taken into account.

Smoking and/or exposure to passive smoke by any of the partners can prove to be grossly non-conducive to conception and a successful pregnancy.

Even passive inhalation of cigarette toxins released by others by a female mouse can drastically reduce the quality and quantity of egg it can generate.

Dramatically, about 33.33% of the eggs just die out and dissipate and out of the remaining eggs, abnormal conditions are seen to arise in a great proportion of them, i.e. they have a problematic fertilization ahead and they look as if their DNA has somehow been damaged.

This essentially means that you must guard your nostrils against unwanted smoke.

Visit places that have better air circulation and have plenty of trees to supply you with fresh air.

Tree leaves are excellent absorbents of air pollutants. Speak up if someone smoking around you is not agreeable to you, and if nothing works, wear anti-pollution masks!
