But most people haven’t heard of a similar method called Acupressure.

It involves putting pressure on specific places on your body called acupoints which helps release muscle tension and promote blood circulation. But can it also benefit women trying to get pregnant?

Well, women that activate these acupressure points at least twice a week for 5 weeks can impact their fertility hormones.

Most important time to have acupuncture is during the follicular phase – meaning from the first day of a period to ovulation.

Although I recommend seeing a specialist, you can often stimulate the acupoints on your own body once you learn the proper technique and understand which points must be addressed in your own individual situation and treatment.

Perfectly acceptable, acupressure employs the same basic techniques as acupuncture, only without the needles.

Although some people prefer to use stones or other implements to massage the skin, using the fingertips, thumb and/or a small rubber mallet works best for most women.

When using acupressure be sure to apply enough pressure with the tip of your finger to create a slight aching or full sensation at the desired pressure point area.
