Fertility will usually start to decline in your 30’s. Factors that may contribute to infertility include age, smoking, stress, certain medical issues, obesity, alcohol and drug use. With that said, what are some of the more clear signs that you are in fact fertile and ready to get pregnant? Here are 4 signs that signal peak fertility: Your period should be very predictable One good indicator for fertility is when your cycle is quite predictable every month. That signals fertility. I’m not talking about birth control cycles but natural cycles without any medical intervention. Though the length and regularity of a menstrual cycle may differ, the average duration of a complete menstrual cycle is 28 days (though healthy cycles can run from 21-36 days). Cycles longer than 28 days don’t necessarily mean anything is wrong with you. Your ovulation day will be about half your cycle length. This is another true indicator for fertility.

Here are 4 signs that signal peak fertility:

Your period should be very predictable

One good indicator for fertility is when your cycle is quite predictable every month. That signals fertility. I’m not talking about birth control cycles but natural cycles without any medical intervention.

Your ovulation day will be about half your cycle length.

This is another true indicator for fertility. If your cycle averages 30 days then you should ovulate around cycle day 15. A positive sign on your ovulation predictor kit signals that you should expect to ovulate within the next 36 hours.

A late ovulation means that the current uterine lining starts to be a bit too old, which means it would be harder for a fertilized egg to attach, although it doesn’t harm the baby if you do get pregnant after all.

You will have a very fertile cervical mucus

Cervical mucus or cervical fluid is one of the primary fertility signs to getting pregnant. A dry cervical mucus can resist the movement of sperm and inhibit fertilization.

Directly prior to ovulation, your cervical mucus should be abundant. The stretchiness of the mucus indicates that ovulation is likely imminent.

Cervical mucus or cervical fluid is one of the three primary fertility signs to getting pregnant. A dry cervical mucus can resist the movement of sperm and inhibit fertilization.

Fertile mucus will be thin, slippery (like lubricant), stretchy and translucent. Typically, fertile-quality cervical fluids will appear a few days prior to and during ovulation.

You will experience a real increase in libido

Fertile women, right before ovulation, will experience a rise in sexual desire as estrogen and testosterone levels increase. Your body will also change during this period. Fuller lips, a high pitched voice and a change in facial structure also signal increased fertility.

Having sex at the right time is essential to getting pregnant. It is important to have sex just prior to and at ovulation time, but what if you ovulate late? Like after day 16? Then you may find it difficult to maintain a pregnancy even if you are lucky enough to conceive. Some cycles are a recipe for disaster, and even if you do manage to conceive, they will likely result in a miscarriage. Cycles with an ovulation time after day 16 is one of them. Why? Because the uterine lining is no longer optimal for nourishing a fetus. If you find that you regularly ovulate after day 16, be sure to tell your doctor! Now, it is important to understand that once you’ve ovulated, you have just about a 12 hour period of time to conceive. That’s because the lifespan of an egg, once it has ovulated, is only about 24 hours so if that egg is not fertilized within the first 12 hours after ovulation, conception is likely not going to happen. That is why it’s important to have sex before ovulation, if possible. A study has found that among healthy women trying to conceive, nearly all pregnancies […]

Some cycles are a recipe for disaster, and even if you do manage to conceive, they will likely result in a miscarriage.

Cycles with an ovulation time after day 16 is one of them. Why? Because the uterine lining is no longer optimal for nourishing a fetus.

That is why it’s important to have sex before ovulation, if possible.

A study has found that among healthy women trying to conceive, nearly all pregnancies can be attributed to intercourse during a six-day period ending on the day of ovulation.

Obviously, frequent ejaculations reduce sperm count, sperm concentration, and the percentage of sperm that are motile.

So frequent ejaculation could potentially reduce the potency of subsequent batches of sperm.

Too much sex can theoretically decrease sperm count, which can then take a few days to rebound.

So probably the best and optimal approach would be to have sex every other day, instead of every day, during your fertile window.

Many women who cannot get pregnant or who may experience repeated miscarriage often suffer from a luteal phase defect, which simply means that the luteal phase of their cycle (the time between ovulation and their menstrual flow) is too short to develop a thick enough uterine lining to support a fertilized egg. This can either result in an inability for the fertilized egg to implant in the first place, or an inability to thrive, thus resulting in a very early miscarriage. Some women actually miscarry every month without realizing it believing that they are simply having a regular period. The cause of this disorder is generally low progesterone levels, although low FSH and LH levels can also be to blame. Some signs that you may suffer with a luteal phase defect include: 1. Ovulating before day 10 of your cycle or after day 20 (this can be determined by using an ovulation predictor test or charting your basal body temperature and cervical mucus). 2. Pre-menstrual spotting. 3. Menopausal symptoms. Once a diagnosis of LPD is made, there are several options for treatment. In many cases fertility drugs such as Clomid are used to boost progesterone levels and make a pregnancy […]

Prolactin is a hormone that helps women to produce milk after the birth of a baby. When levels are high, ovulation is hindered; that is why many nursing mothers do not get a period while their babies are nursing at peak capacity. Reducing estrogen levels in women and progesterone levels in men, prolactin can have a serious effect on both male and female fertility, causing a loss of ovulation in the female and a poor production of sperm in males. When it comes to dealing with nay fertility problem, it is important to take as much control over your treatment as possible. Some simple ways that you can help to alleviate elevated prolactin levels include: 1. Add lots of B vitamins and zinc to your daily diet. 2. Avoid alcohol (no amount is safe). 3. Begin a stress relieving regiment including exercise, massage, hypnosis, meditation, yoga, etc. 4. Take a Chasteberry Vitex supplement to lower prolactin levels. 5. Take qi moving herbs. 6. Avoid excessive exercise (but moderate exercise is good). Need guidance on how to improve your fertility? Check out my Pregnancy Miracle program

When varioceles occurs, blood that has clotted in the testes can heat the area to over 98.6 degrees, which is at least 1-2 degrees higher than they should be. This can cause serious damage (or even kill) sperm! Usually only detected through a physical exam (varioceles makes the testes feel like a bag of worms), the disorder is treatable using a form of microsurgery, combined with herbal remedies to increase blood flow through the testes. Varicocele surgery can improve sperm count and sperm quality. Testosterone levels may return to normal. Pain related to a varicocele may be improved.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is basically the combination of sperm and egg completed manually in the lab and the insertion of this pre-embryo back into the mother’s womb. First , using injections, the ovaries are stimulated to produce mature eggs that are then fertilized with sperm. In most cases, IVF injections don’t cause any pain or discomfort but obviously highly sensitive women may react differently and may experience more pain than others. These injections may trigger certain temporary side effects such as mood swings, fatigue, spotting or headaches but this is not a must. Some women won’t experience any of these symptoms. It is very individual. Next is the stage where eggs are retrieved using an ultrasound probe. This procedure is done using anesthesia so you should not feel any discomfort or pain although you may experience temporary menstrual like symptoms for a few days afterwards. Final stage is the Embryo Transfer phase which doesn’t involve anesthesia and is usually pain-free. You may only experience slight cramping for a couple of days.

I always wondered about whether I could actually feel that ‘sperm meets the egg’ moment. Most women will not notice when an implantation has occurred but some may experience certain symptoms just a couple of days afterwards. What happens just before implantation is that the egg is slowly traveling from the ovaries to the Fallopian Tube where it should fertilize a sperm. The sperm travels from the uterus to the Fallopian tubes through contractions. If they join in the Fallopian tube it is called fertilization. Then that fertilized egg travels for about 3-4 days to the uterus where it will float for 2-3 more days till hopefully it attaches itself to its lining. That’s when implantation occurs. Implantation symptoms resemble those of PMS but are usually milder so you may experience light bleeding or spotting as well as dull and aching cramps, known as implantation cramps. But some women won’t feel anything so that doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re not pregnant. Need guidance on how to improve your fertility?

Long term use of birth control pills should not have a negative impact on your fertility or on your ability to conceive. Most women can get pregnant within the first 12 months of contraceptive discontinuation but a study found that women who used a combined estrogen and progestin birth control pills for more than three years were were more fertile than women who used them for a shorter period of time. Once you stop birth control pills your period should return within a few months. There is an obvious delay in returning to normal ovulation and menstruation as your body takes time to start producing these hormones again. Most women can become pregnant within 6 months of trying. However, bear in mind that there are known risks in taking the pill for a very long period of time, in the form of blood clots, especially after the age of 35. Unlike birth control pills, getting pregnant after a Depo-Provera shot can take much longer and up to a couple of years. The IUD method as well as contraceptive ring users can usually conceive within a year after stopping use. Need guidance on how to improve your fertility? Check out my Pregnancy Miracle program

There are many changes the body goes through during pregnancy. Some of these changes can trigger symptoms you may find similar to other conditions such as fever or even the flu. The first trimester is probably the worst in terms of symptoms. You may experience extreme fatigue, nausea and vomiting on a daily basis, headaches as well as tender breasts. Symptoms actually tend to be the worst at around 9 or 10 weeks in which the levels of hCG are at their highest. This is the hormone that is normally checked to see how well your pregnancy is progressing. You’ll be surprised to know that pregnancy will weaken your immune system. This is to make sure that the body won’t reject the fetus. As a result, you can become more susceptible. These immune system changes can increase your risk of catching the flu as well as other infections. Another thing to remember is that the more toxins and accumulated waste you have in your body the worst these pregnancy symptoms will become. That is why it is so important to prepare your body beforehand so that when you do get pregnant that first trimester won’t become a nightmare for you. […]

This isn’t a guarantee because we are all different but many women don’t experience any uncomfortable symptom during the first trimester because they do the following:

2. Their food portion is small especially at night.

3. They do daily meditation.

4. They implement breathing exercises.
