Exactly How Accurate Are Ovulation Kits?

There are several signals from your body that can tell you whether you are ovulating or not. Cervical mucus is one of them but most women turn to ovulation predictor kits. Exactly how good are they?

With at home ovulation predictor kits, women can determine whether or not they are in their fertile time of the month.

These kits measure LH hormone levels which generally surge right before a woman is ready to release an egg into the Fallopian tubes.

These kits can accurately predict the best times for conception in advance of the release of the egg, allowing you to prepare properly by timing intercourse.

The ovulation kits can actually predict ovulation up to 36 hours in advance thus increasing your chances of becoming pregnant.

Remember to test around the same time everyday, it’s usually best between 2 – 4pm, although any time between noon and 8pm in the evening should be fine.

Don’t test as you wake up with first morning urine because the LH surge takes hours to show up.

Drinking too much water before testing can dilute your urine so avoid that.

I would recommend testing twice a day, about 12 hours apart, late morning, and then in the evening.
