Reducing estrogen levels in women and progesterone levels in men, prolactin can have a serious effect on both male and female fertility, causing a loss of ovulation in the female and a poor production of sperm in males.

Some simple ways that you can help to alleviate elevated prolactin levels include:

1. Add lots of B vitamins and zinc to your daily diet.

2. Avoid alcohol (no amount is safe).

3. Begin a stress relieving regiment including exercise, massage, hypnosis,
meditation, yoga, etc.

4. Take a Chasteberry Vitex supplement to lower prolactin levels.

5. Take qi moving herbs.

6. Avoid excessive exercise (but moderate exercise is good).

When varioceles occurs, blood that has clotted in the testes can heat the area to over 98.6 degrees, which is at least 1-2 degrees higher than they should be. This can cause serious damage (or even kill) sperm!

Usually only detected through a physical exam (varioceles makes the testes feel like a bag of worms), the disorder is treatable using a form of microsurgery, combined with herbal remedies to increase blood flow through the testes.

Varicocele surgery can improve sperm count and sperm quality. Testosterone levels may return to normal. Pain related to a varicocele may be improved. Pregnancy success rates after surgery range between 30 – 50%.

Normal sexual activity can be resumed within 1-2 weeks after varicocele embolization and 4 weeks after surgery. It can take approx 3 months to notice an improvement in sperm count and quality because it takes about 3 months for new sperm to develop.

First , using injections, the ovaries are stimulated to produce mature eggs that are then fertilized with sperm.

In most cases, IVF injections don’t cause any pain or discomfort but obviously highly sensitive women may react differently and may experience more pain than others.

These injections may trigger certain temporary side effects such as mood swings, fatigue, spotting or headaches but this is not a must. Some women won’t experience any of these symptoms. It is very individual.

Next is the stage where eggs are retrieved using an ultrasound probe. This procedure is done using anesthesia so you should not feel any discomfort or pain although you may experience temporary menstrual like symptoms for a few days afterwards.

Final stage is the Embryo Transfer phase which doesn’t involve anesthesia and is usually pain-free. You may only experience slight cramping for a couple of days.
